I'm Allishia Adams and I'm starting my first pet hygenist business, while I finish up my externship at the local animal hospital. This fall I will be a senior at Vermont Technical College, in the vet tech program. I'm based out of Randolph, VT and willing to travel from Montpelier to White River Junction and the surrounding areas, or have clients visit me at my home for an appointment.

If you're interested in some of the dogs that I've taken care of, please visit my Pet Gallery.

For Ear Cleaning

When I say ear cleaning, what I do is I start with optional plucking if needed, then I use a cleaning solution to rid ears of ear mites and wax buildup.

For Nail Trimming

When I trim nails, I'll clip or trim depending on the type of nail. I also have a solution I use in case of an over-trimmed nail, to stop bleeding.

For Baths

Depending on a severity of coat mats, I would start by de-matting the fur, then a shampoo, condition, blowdry or towel dry (depending on how the dogs react to the dryer), and brush until no tangles. In event of skunking, I use a home remedy de-skunker, and if they need a second bath, then I don't charge extra.

Travel?

It's ok to visit for cleaning, or I'll travel to you for an appointment.

First time Grooming?

Is it puppies first time getting groomed? No problem. Depending on the selected package, I would work on slowly introducing the dog to water and have the it get used to someone touching it's feet.

What about Cats?

While I'm willing to clean ears, trim nails and brush cats, I'm not currently set up for bathing them. But I am more then willing to come visit if you'd like to make an appointment.
